What is Listen Up Brunswick County?
Listen Up Brunswick County is a nonprofit volunteer group of music lovers dedicated to bringing new and established singer/songwriters performing original music in a variety of traditional genres.
Since the series’ beginning 2013, organizers felt it was important to do more than just bring great music to Brunswick County, as reflected in their mission statement, “Good music, good deeds.”
Each year, Listen Up Brunswick chooses a local charity to support. Hope Harbor Home has been chosen as beneficiary of the upcoming season.
The 2017 season of the music series:
- Singer-Songwriter Joe Crookston – Jan. 21
- Folk-Newgrassrock- classical Harpeth Rising – Feb. 19
- Crowd Favorites The Kennedys – March 24
- Canadian Troubadour James Keelaghan – April 9
All shows start at 7:30 p.m. in the Virginia Williamson Event Center in Brunswick Community College’s Odell Williamson Auditorium.
